Macy had to go have some more tests done today at the hospital due to her UTI last week. She had a renal ultrasound and a VCUG (a test they put dye in her bladder through a catheter and watch it move). She did really well during it all and only cried a little during the catheter part, which I am thankful for. The radiologist found that Macy does have kidney reflux on the left side. This means her urine refluxes back into her kidney and can potentially cause kidney problems if not treated. We are still waiting on our pediatrician to call with our treatment plan but we do know that she will have to be on antibiotics for awhile and will get follow up renal ultrasounds to watch the progress. The radiologist said that she can grow out of this but if she doesn't we are looking at surgery down the road. Please pray that she does grow out of this and that she doesn't have to be on antibiotics for too long. She is feeling better from her UTI and we pray that she doesn't have anymore. Michael is out of town so Connor went with me today and was so good which was an answer to a prayer!! He was concerned about his sister and was giving her hugs before we left and kept telling her he hoped she felt better! It was so sweet.

Thanks for you prayers!
*I just got off the phone with our pediatrician who answered some of our questions. Macy had a grade 3 out of 5 reflux. This type does not usually require surgical intervention, praise God!!! She will be on daily dose of antibiotics until she grows out of this reflux. This may take several years however. She will have follow up exams in 18 months and then we will go from there. So we will just have to wait on her to grow out of it. God is teaching me patience....which I am not good with!! Thanks you for your prayers and support. We know God is in control. :) YEAH!!!

She is in our prayers! We pray that it will not be painful and that she outgrows it quickly so that she does not have stay on the antibiotics too long. Love to you guys and Macy!!
Wonderful news! She will continue to be in our prayers!
My friend, Krissy's, little girl had this as an infant/toddler also.. It was heart wrenching going with her to have her lie down for the catheter and stuff... Really broke my heart. But, she did outgrow it and I will keep it in my prayers that little Macy will too!! (and maybe Macy will be MUCH sweeter than Madison is!! haha!!!)
